Operator's experience with professional qualification of nuclear power plant personnel and measures taken for its maintenance

The operating personnel of the Mochovce nuclear power plant has been trained since 1985 in the training and educational centres of the Nuclear Power Plant Research Institute and at the V-1 and V-2 nuclear power plants in Jaslovske Bohunice. Personnel training for the first reactor unit of the Mochovce nuclear power plant has been finished. For the other reactor units, the final stage of the basic personnel training (training at their own organization) will proceed at the first unit of this nuclear power plant. As to the repetition education and training courses following the basic training, the operating personnel of the Mochovce nuclear power plant will be trained at the reactor simulators of the nuclear power plants in Jaslovske Bohunice. The reactor simulator at Mochovce is under construction. The preparation of a personnel requalification programme is also under way; for instance, an automated technological process control system, which does not exist at the other Czechoslovak nuclear power plants and has never been tested at such an extensive complex, will be installed at the Mochovce nuclear power plant.
