Description
Some results of the dynamics modeling of the pulsed reactor of periodic operation IBR-2M obtained with the aim of substantiation of reliable and safe operation of the reactor are discussed. The IBR-2M model for the modeling of transitional processes with different perturbations of reactivity, including during emergency situations is presented. Furthermore, the model allows us to evaluate changes of reactor parameters in time and compare the modeled transients with registered transients in the course of operation. It allows evaluating possible changes of the reactor stability reserve. The model is constructed on the basis of a modular structure using discrete transfer functions of the kinetics block and power feedback block with accounting for their nonlinearities. It also takes into account the nonlinearity of the control rods and transfer coefficients of energy and amplitude of power pulse. Admissibility of the model is confirmed by comparing the modeled processes with registered ones by moving one of the regulatory bodies, as well as resetting the emergency protection when a controllable parameter (the relative amplitude of the pulse power) is reduced by almost five orders of magnitude. In both cases, a good approximation of the modeling processes with the registered ones is obtained. (author)
