Description
An uncertainty/sensitivity study is presented for the source term associated with the station blackout (TB) accident sequence at a boiling water reactor with a Mark 1 containment. The source term model used in this study was developed as part of a probabilistic risk assessment for the Peach Bottom nuclear power station. Techniques based on Latin hypercube sampling and regression analysis are used to gain insights with respect to uncertainties in reactor accident source term estimates, determine computationally favorable gridding schemes for use with the source term model, and verify that the model is operating as intended.
