Interaction of hydrogen with vacancy defects in vanadium carbide

Description
Thermodesorption mass-spectrometry is used to study different mechanisms of hydrogen dissolution and diffusion in vanadium carbides in the range of cubic phase homogeneity. Energies of hydrogen interaction with vacancy defects are obtained. Phase transitions at 995 and 1180 K, characterized by jump-in change of equilibrium solubility are detected
