Using satellite technology to improve SG eddy current inspections
Description
Steam generator inspections at the nuclear plants at Prairie Island and Kewaunee (USA) were performed in record time by Conam Nuclear and Zetec, using Zetec's Eddynet data acquisition and analysis system. The system connects both the acquisition and analysis of digital eddy current inspection data into a network, using fibre optic and satellite links, and offered significant cost and time savings for the utilities involved.
