Organic vanadium oxo derivatives

Description
Cl2V=0.2 THF interaction with Grignardreactives in different molar ratios is studied. It is established that derivatives of tetravalent vanadium of the R3VX type in solutions are symmetrized up to R4V and R2VX2. Thermally stable organic oxo derivatives V(4)(C6F5)ClV=0x2 THF and (C6F5)2V=0x2 THF are prepared. Thermolysis of obtained complexes is accompanied by homolysis of the V-C6F5 σ bond and formation of V(3) derivatives, Cl2V=0x2 THF can serve as an initial substance for R4V synthesis
