Detection of contents of uranium, thorium and cesium in human body
- 1. China Institute for Radiation Protection, Taiyuan (China)
- 2. Beijing Medical University, Beijing (China)
Description
Using inductively coupled plasma mass-spectrography, the contents of uranium, thoron and cesium in normal human body were detected with inter-comparison made with reference materials. The results show that the concentration values vary from area to area, with the highest uranium and thoron concentration in human body being in Hebei Province and with the lowest cesium concentration in Shanxi Province. A part from the lower uranium concentration in kidney and higher thoron concentration in lung, the related other values are roughly similar with those reported abroad. (authors)
