To the problem of determination of values of total cross sections of multiparticle-states interaction with nucleons from experiments on nuclei
Description
It is shown that the smallness of the cross section of Asub(1) and Q meson interaction with nucleons from the experiments on meson production on nuclei can be explained in the framework of the conventional theory of multiple rescattering supplied by the following hypothesis: the cross sections of interaction of longitudinally polarized vector mesons with nucleons are much smaller than the total cross sections of interaction of transversely polarized vector mesons with nucleons. The differential cross section of the πA → Asub(1)A process is analysed in order to determine the effect of intermediate channels on the value of the total cross section of the interaction of longitudinally polarized vector mesons with nucleons
