Energy transfer and fluorescence characteristics of erbium-doped ytterbium aluminium garnet

Description
The fluorescence characteristics of the garnet-type crystal Yb3Al5O12:Er3+ (YbAlG:Er3+) have been examined and the energy transfer process between the two rare earth ions over a temperature range 78-297 K has been studied. Certain data were compared with those of YbAlG:Er3+. (Auth.)
