This report has been produced under the sponsorship of the London Food Commission (Promotions) Ltd in answer to the publication of the report of the UK Government's Advisory Committee on Irradiated and Novel Foods (1986). Consumer concerns about health and past and potential abuses of irradiation are discussed in the light of the LFC Pilot Survey designed to assess policy and attitudes with major food groups, retailers and voluntary buying groups, trade associations and industry funded research groups and consumer groups.
