Reactor power reducing device
Description
Purpose: To secure the fuel integrity by suppressing of the temperature rise at the surface of fuel cans upon occurrence of loss of power source accidents in coolant recycling pumps of a reactor. Constitution: The device comprises a function generator for outputting a neutron flux setting signal based on a reactor thermal output signal, and a comparator which compares the neutron flux setting signal from the function generator and an actually measured neutron flux signal, and outputs a reactor power reducing demand signal or a reactor shutdown signal if the neutron flux signal is lower by a predetermined level than the neutron flux setting signal.
