High spin states and the boson cut-off in rotational nuclei
- 1. Institute for Nuclear Physics, Ghent (Belgium)
- 2. Ghent Rijksuniversiteit (Belgium)
Description
We present a schematic model in order to include core-excited states in the interacting boson nuclei. It is shown that thereby the cut-off on the B(E2) values in the yrast band becomes less pronounced. Application to the even-even Dy nuclei is carried out. (orig.)
