Description
Dynamic tensile tests have been performed using the Hopkinson bar system on short test-pieces od AISI 304L and AISI 316L and various carbon steels, both at room and working temperatures, and for strain rates between 10-2 and 103 sec-1. Mild steels present, as expected, a sharp increase of the stress-strain curve and a reduction of elongation to rupture with increasing strain rate, and a sharp peak for yield stress. Austenitic stainless steels show a rise of stress-strain curve and a reduction of elongation to rupture at increasing strain rate; at strain rate higher than 800 sec-1 the flow stress tends to oscillate. Abstract (German)
Es wurden dynamische Hopkinson-Spannungstests an kurzen Proben von AISI 304L und AISI 316L und verschiedenen unlegierten Staehlen bei Raum- und Arbeitstemperatur und fuer Dehnungsraten zwischen 10-2 und 103 sec-1 durchgefuehrt. Wie erwartet, zeigen Flussstaehle mit wachsender Dehnungsrate einen steilen Anstieg der Spannungs-Dehnungs-Kurve und eine Verringerung des Dehnungs-Bruch-Verhaeltnisses sowie ein steiles Maximum fuer die Fliessgrenze. Austenitische rostfreie Staehle zeigen bei wachsender Dehnungsrate einen Anstieg der Spannungs-Dehnungs-Kurve und eine Verringerung des Dehnungs-Bruch-Verhaeltnisses; bei einer Dehnungsrate ueber 800 sec-1 neigt die Fliessspannung zu Schwingungen.
