Reactions of ionic lanthanum compounds with halogenmethanes or carbonoxidechloride

Description

Reactions are reported of La2O3, LaOF, LaOCl, and LaCl3 with CCl2F2 and also reactions of LaOF with CCl4 and COCl2, respectively. La2O3 and LaOF react highly exothermic with CCl2F2. The final product of the reactions with CCl2F2 is LaF3. LaCl3 is formed as an intermediate product when La2O3, LaOF, or LaOCl reacts with CCl2F2. A scheme is communicated on the parallel and consecutive reactions occuring at the interaction between La2O3 and CCl2F2. (author)
