Description
Low dose (25 and 50 kGy) irradiated samples of iPP-LDPE blends were aged under 0.5 MPa of oxygen at 800C. Radiation-induced and post-irradiation oxidative effects were observed using infra-red spectroscopy. Changes of the elongation at break as a function of ageing time and blend compositions were determined from the stress-strain measurements. The data were related to the radiation effects in isotactic polypropylene and low density polyethylene. (author)
