Description
It is now apparent that interim storage facilities for intermediate-level radioactive waste (ILW) will be needed in the UK whilst long term policies are formulated and implemented. The dry store for ILW described here promises to be cheaper and quicker to build than existing designs but still satisfies UK and international safety requirements. (author)
