  • 1. M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, USSR

Description

In this paper the special features of photoreactivation and photoprotection of yeast cells exposed to high-intensity UV radiation (HIUV) are considered. New results of a study of the degree of cell inactivation in relation to the HIUV intensity are presented. On the basis of the obtained data the specific nature of the injury inflicted on cells by HIUV and the mechanism of induction of lethal injuries by this radiation are determined
