Time-resolved (3/2)ω0 spectrum from spherical laser-produced plasmas
Description
The time-dependent spectrum of (3/2)ω0 harmonic emission from uniformly illuminated spherical layered targets has been measured. The features of the observed spectra are consistent with theoretical predictions of (3/2)ω0 emission from plasma waves generated by the two-plasmon decay instability in a hot, expanding plasma
