Analysis of anomalies in the excitation function for the reaction 7Li(t,p)9Li

Description
In the framework of the general theory of nuclear reactions an analytic expression for the excitation function of the reaction 7Li(t,p)9Li near the 7Li(t,n)9Be thresholds is obtained, assuming the existence of nearby T = 2 levels of the 10Be compound nucleus. With the help of this expression the experimental data are described using the least-squares method. Analysis of the adjustable parameters allowed us to determine the energies and widths of the levels of 10Be and to estimate the neutron binding energy in 10Li
