Study of austenitic stainless steel creep between 5500C and 6500C
Description
This work is a contribution to identification and analysis of microscopic mechanisms of creep damages in austenitic stainless steels used for steam generators of fast neutron reactors. Statistical analysis of slip at the grain boundaries and tests on polycrystalline of alloy 800 grade II indicate the role of structural parameters: matrix reinforcement and boundary slip. Microstructure analysis shows the deformation mechanisms and the differences between steel 316 and alloy 800. In situ tests on bicrystalline samples of steel ZCN17/13 show the event chronology. Characteristic data on damaging at the nanometer scale (cavity size, crack dimensions) are determined. From these results a beginning of simulation is attempted for the two types of damage. 67 refs

Ce travail contribue a l'identification et a l'analyse des mecanismes microscopiques de l'endommagement par fluage des aciers inoxydables austenitiques, utilises pour les generateurs de vapeur des reacteurs a neutrons rapides. L'analyse statistique du glissement intergranulaire et de l'endommagement micrometrique sur des eprouvettes polycristallines d'Alliage 800 grade II a precise le role des 2 parametres structuraux fondamentaux: renforcement matriciel et glissement au joint. L'analyse microstructurale nous a permis de determiner les mecanismes de deformation et de montrer ainsi les differences entre l'Alliage 800 et l'Acier 316. Les resultats de l'experimentation ''in-situ'' sur des eprouvettes bicristallines d'acier Z CN 17/13 ont permis d'acceder a la chronologie des evenements. Nous avons pu egalement determiner les grandeurs caracteristiques de l'endommagement d'echelle nanometrique telles que la taille des cavites, la distance entre la pointe de fissure et la cavite en aval. L'ensemble de ces resultats et analyses nous a permis de proposer un schema de ruine pour les 2 types d'endommagement observes. Ce schema de ruine a conduit a un debut de modelisationFiles
