Description

This paper reports that from backward angle correlation measurements for the reaction 40Ar + NatAg at 44 MeV/u, an emission temperature of the target-like fragment is extracted by means of the relative population of excited states of emitted light clusters. The temperature T = 2.2+0.3-0.2 MeV and T = 2.9 ± 0.7 MeV values are obtained respectively for the 4He and 6Li cases. The authors' finding is consistent with the emission of a thermalized system after excitation energy relaxation
