Diastolic filling in the left ventricle in relation to its hypertrophy in patients with coronary heart disease
Description
The features of diastolic filling of the left venricle (LV) were examined in relation to the nature of its hypertrophy in 110 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Patients with CHD were underwent contrast ventriculography in order to determine LV diastolic stiffness. Radionuclide ventriculography with 99mTc-pertechnetate was performed in 49 patients at rest and during exercise. The CHD patients with moderate LV concentric hypertrophy had more adequate LV diastolic filling in the presence of concurrent essential hypertension
