Description
The purpose of the paper is to present an efficient method for electricity generation for the cascade connected hydro power plants. As an example is treated the hydro power complex of Treska river which is consists of three cascade connecting hydro power plants: HPP Kozjak as the first and the largest one which is in operation for the last 2 years, HPP St. Petka in the middle and the last one is HPP Matka which is needed to be revitalized in order to enlarge the installed water flow. Considering the planing activities, all these events should be done in the next 4 to 5 years, following the fully operation of the hydro power system. Taking into account the technical characteristics of the hydro power plants as the installed water flow and water reservoirs, the system needed to operate in special optimum solution in order to avoid spill waves as well as energy losses. The paper gives analysis for some daily operating regimes for the hydro energy complex on river Treska. (Author)
