Dynamics of magnetic Island Formation Feedback Control in Thermonuclear Plasmas

Description
Magnetic fusion concept and its magnetic systems are explained. General Fusion reactor performance and reactor operational parameters are introduced. The tokamak equilibrium and equilibrium parameters are looked through.The ideal and resistive MHD (magnetohydrodynamics) instabilities and their limiting effects on β - value are reviewed. The classical magnetic island formation(tearing mode) is presented and its mode structure identified . The diagnostics methods are presented. The growth rate is brought into attention for feedback control. Neoclassical phenomena are used in order to modify the growth rate and its effects are inserted into the growth rate equation.The necessity of control/ or stabilization of the mode is addressed. The helical magnetic perturbation caused by neoclassical bootstrap current is formulated and a new coordinate system is defined.General heating and current drive applied to fusion reactors are presented.The magnetic measurements and signal processing are discussed and reported as a control applications. The m=3/2 and m=2/1 modes and their stabilizations are analyzed and electron cyclotron current drive(ECCD) extention from small tokamak machines to ITER is developed.A general feedback control and feedback algorithm for instabilities are outlined. The growth rate and critical parameters are calculated for fusion reactor conditions. Then all situations are tried to extend to the burning plasmas,i.e in the presence of the fast ions,such as α - particles
