Synergic extraction of U(VI) and Pu(VI) by mixtures of HDEHP and TBP (Paper No. AL-02)

Description
The extraction of U(VI) and Pu(VI) by mixtures of HDEHP and TBP was investigated by measurement of the distribution ratios of U(VI) and Pu(VI) as a function of the extractant variables using 0.2M sulphuric acid as the aqueous medium. The synergic coefficients, obtained under identical conditions, were found to be higher for U(VI) than Pu(VI) and, for both, they are higher in n-dodecane than in toluene. (author). 5 refs., 1 tab
