Description
The Brueckner-Goldstone many-body theory is applied to study the photon-atom reaction He(1s2) + γ → He++(1s0) + e + e. An expression for the double-photoionization cross section is derived. The result is used to obtain the angular distribution of the ejected electrons. The effect of final-state correlation is examined
