Description

Examinations by means of neutron radiography have been performed at the Studsvik R2 and R2-0 reactors for a number of years. The work is mainly related to investigations of the behaviour of nuclear fuel rods. The radiography facility at the R2 reactor is described. This is followed by examples of radiographs of fuel rods illustrating various kinds of information which can be obtained. Measurements of fuel pellet dimensions require a high precision. A microdensitometric method has been used for this purpose and is described. (Auth.)
