Effect of rare earth oxides on magnetic properties of anisotropic barium ferrites

  • 1. Kaliningradskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Kaliningrad (USSR)

Description

Using X-ray diffraction and gamma-resonance methods the effect of rare earth oxides on properties of anisotropic barium ferrites is studied. Additions of SrCO3, as well as SrCO3 and La2O3, SrCO3 and Pr6O11, SrCO3 and Nd2O3, SrCO3 and Sm2O3 with 7.5 mol.% Sr and 10 mol.% rare earths into barium powder of grade A level to substitution of Sr and rare earth ions for barium ions and as a result the magnetic anisotropy energy is changed and the technically important magnetic parameters Br, (BH)max are increased
