Applied numerical modeling of the atmospheric boundary layer
Description
Simple ways of parameterizing the effect of turbulence on the mean properties of the planetary boundary layer are described. Numerical boundary layer models can be used in conjunction with air pollution dispersion models to predict the diffusion and transport of catastrophic emissions of radioactive gases from a nuclear power plant.
