Influence of a strong laser field on the stopping power for charged test particles in nondegenerate plasmas

Description
The influence of a high-intensity electromagnetic wave on the classical energy loss rate of ions in nondegenerate plasmas is calculated. It is shown that the laser field decreases the plasma stopping power and makes it anisotropic with respect to the polarization of the wave electric field. (author)
