Description
The size of the peak expected in pion-proton bremsstrahlung in the region of the Δ++ resonance is calculated using an unambiguous low-energy theorem. The only unknown parameter is the magnetic moment of the resonance. From the absence of any resonant structure in the data one obtains for it μsub(Δ)=3.7 +- 1.4 in units 2eh/4πMsub(Δ)c. This is in excellent agreement with the SU(6) prediction μsub(Δ) = 3.66. (Auth.)
