On the Relation Emitted Spectral Line Intensities by the Afterglow Plasma and the Temperature of Electrons Heated by Microwaves

Description
The electron temperature dependence of the dissociative recombination coefficient of Ne2+ ions with electrons was investigated in afterglow of pulsed high frequency discharge simultaneously by microwave cavity and optical emission spectroscopy methods. The present experimental results show the tight correlation between intensities of the emitted spectral lines, the electron temperature as a function of absorbed microwave power by means of the measurements of the spectral line intensities. It is confirmed that the electron temperature dependence of the dissociative recombination coefficient of molecular Ne2+ ions follows power law Te-042. (Authors)
