Effect of nature of central atom on kinetics of organic ligand decomposition during radiolysis of aqueous solutions of chelate complexes of chromotropic acid disodium salt

Description

Radiolysis has been studied of chelate complexes of RH2, disodium salt of chromotropic acid, with metals of aluminium subgroup (Al3+, Ga3+, In3+) and some rare earth elements (Tm3+, Sm3+, and Yb 3+). The study of the dependence of the radiation yield of RH2 decomposition of the initial concentration in the systems containing complexes has shown that in the systems under study the ligand bonded into complex decomposes by the chain mechanism. A regular decrease in the rate of the chain process has been observed upon irradiation of aqueous solutions of chelate complexes of chromotropic acid disodium salt with the elements of aluminium subgroup and with lanthanides
