Kinetics of photoinduced oxidation of alcohols by d0-complexes in solution

Description
Publication data on reactions of alcohol oxidation by d0-complexes of Ti4+, V5+, Cr6+, Mo6+, W6+, proceeding under the effect of visible and UV-radiation, are generalized. Electron structure and reaction centers of d0-complexes, their interaction with alcohols in the basic and excited states are considered. Expressions for reaction rate and quantum yield were derived. Similarity of photoreaction mechanisms by different d0-complexes, dictated by similarity of their electron structures, is considered. 23 refs
