Infrared cometary spectroscopy
Description
Infrared spectroscopy, with microwave and submillimetre spectroscopy, is practically the only remote-sensing technique able to study stable molecules sublimed from the nucleus or formed by gas-phase chemistry in the inner coma. We review here recent observations and theoretical works concerning cometary molecules, relevant to infrared spectroscopy
