Probe into adsorption behavior of Sr, Cs in soil

  • 1. Qinghua Univ., Beijing (China). Dept. of Environmental Engineering

Description

Using analytical technique of seanning electromicroscope and microprobe, the authors made a special study on the microcosmic behavior of some kinds of mineral particals for diluvial soil, on which strontium and cesium is adsorbed. Having screening the soil the authors determined the static distribution coefficients Kd values of each particles size grade for Sr and Cs, and gave a method of calculating the Kd for mixing sample from the Kd for each size grade one when the surface adsorption is the main. The paper expounded that it is necessary to carry on a microcosmic study of soil adsorption, and it is favourable for accuracy to select and control the partical size in static experiment
