Jouquet, G. Kleist, D.F. Leushacke, M. Masson, R. Schill, and H. Schuster The articles will also appear in - Transactions of the 4th International Conference on Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology (D5/f), - Journal of Nuclear Technology, and - High Temperatures - High Pressures, respectively. Individual abstracts are given at the beginning of each one of the papers. The third contribution is the result of a joint effort between the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique, Saclay et Grenoble, and the Kernforschungsanlage Jülich GmbH, Jülich.
