Description
The energy amplifier is a concept developed by C. Rubbia. It could be a system of energy production to give an alternative to the PWR type reactors. Its fuel is the Thorium with a load of Uranium 233. The functioning is a sub critical mode and it could offer a possibility of radioactive waste calcination. (N.C.)
