Development of core technology for promotion of radiation therapy efficacy by targeting cancer stem cell

Description

1. The development of therapeutic strategies to target radiation-induced cancer stem cells for improving the efficacy of radiation treatment. - Identification and characterization of cancer stem cell characteristics of radiation resistance-related factors - Derivation of candidates for controlling stem cells - Identification of candidates that can control the formation and characteristics of cancer stem cells 2. Enhancement of radiotherapy efficacy by targeting migratory and invasive cancer stem cells - Establishment of migratory and invasive cancer stem cell (CSC) models from cancer cell lines by inducing EMT - Analysis of correlation between migratory/invasiveness and radiation resistance, and screening of related-candidate genes - Finding of key factors and signaling pathways associated with migration and invasiveness of CSC 3. Epigenetic Regulation Research in Cancer Stem Cells - Regulatory roles of epigenetic factors in radio-resistance cancer stem cells - Regulation of cancer stem cells through the modulation of DNA methylation - Identification of the role of tumor microenvironment in the regulation of cancer stem cells
