EPA's approach to development of LDR standards for contaminated soil and debris

Description

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will soon propose standards for Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for contaminated soil and debris (CSD). The preliminary regulatory definitions for contaminated soil and for contaminated debris are presented. EPA's strategy for determining the applicability of the regulation and the development of Best Demonstrated Available Technologies (BDAT) are discussed. Examples of contaminated soil and debris standards are given
