The Combined Action of Pressure Vessel Failure, Amoeba Effect and SiC-Corrosion in the Experiments BR2-P21 and BR2-P22
Description
The irradiation of (Th,U)O2 LTI Triso fuels (Table 1) to 10 % FIMA and fast fluence 14 x 1021 cm-2 (E> 0.1 MeV) at temperatures between 1100 and 1600°C and temperature gradients up to near 600°C/cm (Table 2) has shown the three classical failure phenomena 1. pressure vessel failure 2. amoeba effect 3. SiC-corrosion
