Description

This paper describes a convenient procedure for the specific labelling of MK-886. 1-(4-chloro- (3- 3H) benzyl)- 3- ( t-butylthio) - α, α - dimethyl -5- (isopropyl)- indole-2- propanoic acid (MK-886) of specific activity 13,700 mCi/mmole 506.9 GBq/mmole). The radiolabelled agent was prepared by catalytic dehalogenation of 1-(4-chloro- 3-iodo benzyl)-3-(t- butylthio)- α, α - dimethyl -5- (isopropyl)- indole-2- propanoic acid with tritium gas under controlled conditions.
