A self-similar flow behind a cylindrical shock wave with thermal radiation in magnetogasdynamics

  • 1. S.G.R. Postgraduate Coll., Jaunpur (India)

Description

Similarity solutions, for one dimensional unsteady flow of a perfect gas behind a strong cylindrical shock wave with thermal radiation propagating in a non-uniform atmosphere at rest and also including the interaction of azimuthal magnetic field, are investigated. The flow is caused by an expanding piston and the total energy of the flow is assumed to be dependent on shock radius obeying a power law. The only radiation flux has been taken into consideration. A comparison between the results obtained with and without magnetic field in the presence of radiation has been illustrated graphically. (author)
