Equipment for production of triuranium octaoxide from metal uranium chips

The device is claimed for patent consisting of a combustion chamber, scrubber and sedimentation tank. The device is designed so as to provide protection for personnel from ionizing radiation and radioactive aerosols. In processing metal uranium chips in this device controlled oxidation takes place without the development of nitroso gases. The advantage of the system of the manufacture of uranium triuranium octaoxide is higher productivity and lower energy demand of the process.
