Description
From the fact that nuclear power plants are built and operated results - as in case of each other industrial activity - that coordinated disposal of the arising waste is necessary. In this article in connection with the present and future contribution of nuclear energy to supply the German strategies and techniques of nuclear waste disposal are presented and explained in international comparison. Particular attention is directed to the German situation of conditioning and ultimate disposal of radioactive waste - as examples for the responsible disposal of an industrialized nation. Nevertheless international efforts are as well dealt with. The article describes in detail the disposal of wastes from worldwide peaceful use of nuclear energy. (orig./UA)
Abstract (German)
Aus der Tatsache, dass Kernkraftwerke gebaut und betrieben werden, folgt - wie bei jeder anderen industriellen Aktivitaet, dass eine geordnete Entsorgung der entstehenden Abfaelle notwendig ist. Im folgenden werden, im Zusammenhang mit dem gegenwaertigen und zukuenftigen Versorgungsbeitrag der Kernenergie, die deutschen Strategien und Techniken der nuklearen Entsorgung im internationalen Vergleich dargestellt und erlaeutert. Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die deutsche Situation zur Konditionierung und Endlagerung radioaktiver Abfaelle - als Beispiel fuer eine verantwortungsbewusste Entsorgung in der Industriegesellschaft - gelegt. Gleichwohl wird auch hier auf internationale Bestrebungen eingegangen. Der Beitrag gibt ein umfassendes und ausfuehrliches Bild der Entsorgung von Abfaellen aus der weltweiten friedlichen Nutzung der Kernenergie. (orig./UA)Additional details
