Description

The effect of periodic implantation of yttrium ferrite garnet (YFG) films by high-energy He3+ ions at different implantation profiles on characteristics of magnetostatic wave propagation (MSW) is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The experimental studies were carried out on YFG films with breadth of the ferromagnetic resonance line equal to 2ΔH=0.8 Oe. The thickness of the films made up 8 μm, implanted lattice constant was equal to 200 μm, the number of implanted sections made up 40. Growth of the implantation dose is shown to results in increase of the fall-through depth of the frequency dependence of MSW amplitude and its broadening. More uniform implantation profile reduces rough character of this dependence resulting from interaction of surface MSW with modes of spin-wave resonance in the film. The experimental results well agree with theoretical estimations
