Electroflection spectra of iron and St.3 and kinetical differences in their anodic dissolution
- 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Fiziko-Khimicheskij Inst., Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
Electroreflection spectra of iron and St3 steel are compared. An attempt to determine reasons of differences in corrosion behaviour of these metals is made on the group of this comparison. Conclusion is made about the presence of water adsorbed molecules at the steel surface that are more activated than those at iron surface and it results in growth of concentration of adsorbed OH-groups and share of passive. It results in decrease of seeming order of dissolving reaction by OH- - ions
