Rapid method for the determination of radon and its daughter products in the air

Description

A rapid method for the determination of radon in living rooms by measuring alpha-activity of its daughter products collected on special air filters is described. The measured daughter products collected on special air filters is described. The measured daughter products concentration is recalculated by proposed ratios into volume radon concentration in the air. The results of test measurements of radon concentrations by the Honowell instrument (Victoreen company) and by the above-mentioned method constituted 26 and 25.44 Bq/m3, respectively
