Detector arrangement for measurement of dose or dose rate of ionising radiation independent of energy and direction using a radiation detector enclosed by an air absorption filter

Description

The tubular ionisation chamber or the counting tube has an absorption filter with a density profile of different surface densities for the directional and energy compensation before the radiation inlet surface. So that the filter can be made by mass production, it consists of a wire coil wound on the supporting tube. The windings are close together in the central filter part. The angle of the windings increases towards the ends of the support tube. (orig./HP)
