Monitoring device for the nuclear reactor state

Description

Purpose: To monitor on real time the stability of the entire reactor core or local reactor core within a BWR type reactor. Method: In this invention, the stability for the reactor core is monitored by using fluctuation components in a local power signal or average power signal from a nuclear reactor, expressing the fluctuation characteristics (reactor characteristics) as the filter characteristics, determining the degree of power attenuation in the local reactor core or the entire reactor core based thereon (amplitude reduction ratio). The system comprises a signal pre-treatment device for selecting the local power signal, an adverse system mathematical operation circuit for estimating white noises generating fluctuations in the reactor power from digitalized reactor power signals, a control circuit, a memory circuit and the like. It uses a method requiring no previous mathematical operation and capable of sequential operation, in which the operation function is performed in a parallel operation processing and it is suitable to the real time processing. More flexible reactor operation is enabled by this reactor state monitoring device. (Kamimura, M.)
